What is Certified Self Containment?
A certified self contained vehicle is designed to completely meet the ablutionary and sanitary needs of the occupants (including water for drinking and cooking) for a minimum of three days without requiring any external services or discharging any waste.
A self containment checklist must be signed off by an approved self containment vehicle inspector.
Once your vehicle has been certified a copy of the test sheet should be emailed to csc@nzlifestylecamping.com for final checking and issue. Please allow 5 working days for delivery of your final documentation
NZLC Processing and issue fees.( The vehicle inspector fee will be additional to this)
- Green Warrant - May require vehicle modifications in most cases
- Recognised for legislated freedom camping

- Blue Warrant - Not recognised for defined 'freedom camping'.
$ 48.00 - Can have a portable toilet 4 year certification
